Depois de cruzar um per\u00edodo de declara\u00e7\u00f5es pol\u00eamicas, amores desfeitos, exageros retumbantes e uma cirurgia para a retirada de um granuloma das cordas vocais, o cantor e guitarrista John Mayer<\/strong><\/span> resolveu se acalmar pessoal e musicalmente. O resultado foi o \u00f3timo Born and raised<\/strong>, disco de inclina\u00e7\u00f5es folk lan\u00e7ado em 2012. Apenas um ano depois, ele continua navegando em \u00e1guas mansas e lan\u00e7a o igualmente \u00f3timo Paradise Valley<\/strong><\/span> (Sony Music). A produ\u00e7\u00e3o coube a Don Was, que j\u00e1 trabalhou com Rolling Stones, B.B. King e Bonnie Raitt. Bem diferente do tom blues-pop-roqueiro dos primeiros discos do norte-americano de 35 anos, este novo disco \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m para apresentar um novo artista, mais maduro e consciente do que quer fazer artisticamente. S\u00e3o 11 faixas em Paradise Valley<\/strong><\/span> que deixam o folk mais de lado, para se aproximar do country. Isso j\u00e1 est\u00e1 impresso na capa, onde Mayer<\/strong> <\/span>parece estar esperando um \u00f4nibus para ir embora de Woodstock. Mas, com medo de afastar os velhos f\u00e3s, o m\u00fasico acrescenta algumas faixas com tom mais radiof\u00f4nico, como I will be found<\/strong><\/em>, sem comprometer o todo. O disco conta ainda com participa\u00e7\u00f5es da cantora (e namorada de Mayer<\/strong><\/span>) Katy Perry<\/strong> e de Frank Ocean<\/strong>. O disco todo \u00e9 bem bom, mas se \u00e9 pra escolher uma pra come\u00e7ar, sugiro Call me the breeze<\/strong><\/em>, composta por J. J. Cale.<\/p>\n
