A série norte-americana Modern Family, que acaba de estrear sua oitava temporada, escalou uma criança transgênero. Conforme o portal New Now Next, da Logo TV, especializado para público LGBT, o ator mirim vai aparecer já no episódio desta semana.
Os personagens Cam e Mitchell, interpretados por Eric Stonestreet e Jesse Tyler Ferguson, respectivamente, ficam orgulhosos do comportamento da filha Lily ao convidar Tom, um amiguinho transgênero. O garoto é interpretado pelo ator trans Jackson Millarker, de apenas oito anos.
Segue um leve SPOILER: como já é tradicional na série, um mal entendido vai fazer com que o casal pense que a filha talvez não seja tão mente aberta como eles pensam.
O episódio intitulado ‘A Stereotypical Day’ vai ao ar nesta quarta-feira, 28, no canal ABC. No Brasil, a série é exibida pelo canal a cabo Fox Life.

É maravilhoso ver transgênero interpretando personagens trans, dá visibilidade à causa. Só faço uma observação quanto à redação.
Cisgênero não são heterossexuais que se identificam com seus gêneros. Mas sim, pessoas (independente de sua afetividade ou orientação sexual) que se identificam com o gênero socialmente designado a elas em seu nascimento.
Só faço essa observação para que possamos entender que gênero, sexo biológico e orientação sexual são características distintas de uma pessoa. Característica que não têm relação direta ou linear.
