O Banco de Desenvolvimento da China (BDC) vai apreciar a viabilidade de 20 projetos candidatados ao Fundo de Cooperação e Desenvolvimento China/Países de Língua Portuguesa, informou quarta-feira (30) o secretário-geral do Fórum Macau.
O secretário-geral do Secretariado Permanente do Fórum para a Cooperação Econômica e Comercial entre a China e os Países de Língua Portuguesa, vulgo Fórum Macau, Chang Hexi, informou ainda que aquele fundo está atualmente a apoiar dois projetos em execução.
Chang Hexi justificou a razão de terem sido aprovados apenas dois projetos, alegando que algumas das candidaturas não continham todos os documentos necessários para a sua análise, como um estudo de viabilidade econômica. Adiantou que os técnicos do banco chinês estão a apreciar outros projetos e acrescentou que uma decisão “será tomada em breve”. Os dois projetos já em andamento são oriundos de Angola e Moçambique, estando o primeiro relacionado com a distribuição e fornecimento de água potável e o outro com a agricultura. Formalmente anunciado em Novembro de 2010 pelo então primeiro-ministro chinês, Wen Jiabao, o fundo gerido pelo BDC conta com uma dotação global de mil milhões de dólares e começou a aceitar candidaturas em 2013.
Chang Hexi falava após a décima primeira reunião ordinária do Fórum Macau, com a participação de representantes do Ministério do Comércio da China, dos embaixadores dos países de língua portuguesa na China e das autoridades macaenses.
