Nos dias 22 e 23 de novembro, a Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) realizará o primeiro Colóquio Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa: Transições, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro (Brasil).
O objetivo do evento é apresentar como tema a reflexão acerca dos gestos presentes em diversos textos contemporâneos produzidos em países africanos de língua portuguesa. Essas produções apontam para uma busca da inovação e da transformação por meio de um processo que se constitui a partir da releitura produtiva ou problematizadora de autores/textos canônicos.
No conjunto dos autores abordados, também se dará atenção a escritores da diáspora e a textos que, em outros espaços culturais, como o Brasil sobretudo, mas não apenas, dialogam com a produção desses jovens sistemas literários. O intuito principal, portanto, é colaborar com a área de Linguística e Letras, em específico com o campo das Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa, desenhando um cenário do que é produzido hoje em termos de literatura nesses países e ampliando as possibilidades de interlocução entre as perspectivas metodológicas ligadas aos estudos culturais comparados e à literatura comparada.
