Entre os dias 14 e 22 de outubro, Macau, na China, acolherá a 9ª Semana Cultural da China e dos Países de Língua Portuguesa, evento que contará com a participação de mais de 150 artistas.
O objetivo principal da Semana, que acontece desde 2008, é fomentar a diversidade cultural juntando teatro, gastronomia, arte contemporânea, dança e música de vários continentes.
A programação deste ano inclui concertos no Largo do Senado, no coração de Macau, de grupos e artistas de Portugal (Diogo Piçarra), Cabo Verde (Trio Hélio Batalha, Sílvia Medina e Ellah Barbosa), Angola (Yola Semedo), Timor-Leste (Solution Band), Goa, Damão e Diu (True Blue), Moçambique (Os Kassimbos), Brasil (Rastapé), Guiné-Bissau (Klim Mota), São Tomé e Príncipe (Haylton Dias) e China (Grupo de Música e Dança da Província de Guagxi).
Nessa edição, pela primeira vez, os artistas convidados participarão também da Exposição de Produtos e Serviços de Língua Portuguesa (PLPEX) e da Feira Internacional de Macau (MIF).
A Semana Cultural é organizada pelo Fórum para a Cooperação Econômica e Comercial entre a China e os Países de Língua Portuguesa (Fórum Macau), tendo como coorganizadores o Instituto Cultural de Macau e o Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais da cidade. Conta ainda com a colaboração das associações das comunidades lusófonas que existem em Macau.
