O papel do empreendedorismo na retomada da economia será o tema da Semana Global do Empreendedorismo 2020, evento promovido pelo Sebrae e instituições parceiras que ocorre no mês de novembro. Seguindo as orientações das autoridades de saúde, a iniciativa será online, com atividades transmitidas entre os dias 16 e 22 desse mês.
Além de 100% remota, a 13ª edição do evento será gratuita, tornando-se acessível a empreendedores de todos os estados da federação. Até hoje, o evento já mobilizou mais de 2,5 milhões de pessoas em cerca de 20 mil atividades, com o intuito de difundir a cultura empreendedora e auxiliar pessoas que querem empreender no País.
Entre as principais atividades confirmadas estão a palestra de abertura com a participação do presidente da Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Jonathan Ortmans, e palestras de Arnobio Morelix (ex-aluno da Escola do Sebrae e atual diretor da Startup Genome), e Nina Silva (executiva de TI e sócia fundadora do Movimento Black Money). A programação também contará com a presença de Saras Sarasvathy, criadora do método do Effectuation.

Durante o evento, os participantes também poderão conferir a programação referente ao Dia Mundial do Empreendedorismo Feminino, celebrado no dia 19 de novembro. Nesse dia, o Sebrae promoverá uma série de palestras e rodadas de conversas virtuais com foco nos principais desafios para empreendedoras, buscando potencializar o desenvolvimento das empresárias e propor soluções.
